In 2020, Media City Bergen’s annual TECH conference went through a drastic change due to the complications that came with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the absence of an audience didn’t stop the incredible efforts within the media cluster from being presented.

Anne Jacobsen and Rea Parashar

Hosted by Rea Parashar, Head of startups & communication at NCE Finance Innovation and Anne Jacobsen, CEO of Media City Bergen & NCE Media, the conference takes place within Myreze’s virtual studio as the perfect place to showcase MCB’s ability to adapt to the changing times.

Norwegian Philosopher and Author Henrik Syse

This year’s fantastic lineup included Henrik Syse - the prominent Norwegian philosopher and author, David Carroll - the man who took Cambridge Analytica to court for gaining unlawful access to his personal data, Tom Xiong and Jacob Loven from the Digitally China podcast, as well as divided segments with Eirik Solheim, media developer and project manager for NRK’s development department: NRK Beta, as he shows us the latest technological developments in the Norwegian media landscape.

Media City Bergen is always looking to the future and with subjects ranging from the pace of changing technology, data protection and how China has expanded during the COVID-19 outbreak, there was much to discuss.

“The Corona virus really changed everything, and as this conference would usually house hundreds, but using solutions provided by the Norwegian Media Cluster, we were able to move the entire conference into a virtual studio, made by Myreze.”

-Anne Jacobsen

CEO of Media City & NCE Media

A big thank you to MCB TECH 2020 for allowing Myreze to help make this conference a special one and we look forward to learning more about the latest advancements in technology at next year’s MCB TECH 2021.
